Mailwright Coming soon

Your own mail server, without the headache.

Mailwright is a self-hosted mail server built to be set up in minutes, light enough to run anywhere, and pleasant to use every day. It is being built carefully, because email is something people cannot afford to lose.

Guided setup

A wizard from the first start: your admin account, a certificate, your domain. It shows every DNS record you need, checks each one live, and can add them to Cloudflare for you.

Webmail people like

A familiar, Gmail-inspired inbox by default, with other themes to choose from. New mail appears the moment it arrives, with no refreshing.

Safe by design

Encrypted connections, SPF, DKIM and DMARC checked on every message, protection against SMTP smuggling, and mail written safely to disk before it is ever acknowledged.

AI where it helps

Smarter spam filtering, and rules written in plain English, such as "file invoices from Hetzner under Finance", that you can test against your real mail before turning on.

Built to connect

Scoped API keys for sending, reading and creating accounts. Each website can send only as its own domain and only from its own server. A Flarum extension comes first.

Light on your server

One process, no extra services for a small install, and no Docker required. It leaves your server free for everything else you run on it.

27 MBmemory at idle, the whole server
31 KBper open connection, flat to 10,000
0 lostmessages after 80 forced crashes mid‑delivery
